Read PostArchie Scotts has been running the Penzance Chiropractic Clinic since December 2021. The clinic was established by Louise Gough in 1989 and was passed onto Archie, who had been an associate at the clinic since 2012. Archie now works at the clinic alongside associates Finn Poynter and Jenna Nicholls.
Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It emphasises manual therapy of the spine and other joints and includes exercise, health and lifestyle advice.
The practice has assisted over 13,000 people within the local community. The practice team now consists of three chiropractors and five members of staff. There is also a homoeopath and a counsellor who also see patients in the clinic.
Our chiropractors provide care for patients of all ages, with acute and chronic conditions. As well as advice about self-help, exercise and lifestyle, chiropractors often provide support for pain management, sports injuries and active rehabilitation.
Chiropractic treatment involves manipulation to free up joints of the spine or other areas of the body. If the vertebrae making up the spine lose their normal range of motion, they can cause irritation to the delicate nerves that control the body’s movements and sensation.
Problems that may be relieved by chiropractic include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, migraines, sports injuries and problems with the hips, knees, feet, ankles, elbows, wrists and hands.
