The Treatment
Chiropractic treatment involves safe, specific manipulation to free up joints of the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. If the vertebrae, making up the spine, lose their normal range of motion, they can cause irritation to the delicate nerves that control the body’s movements and sensation. You may then experience pains, aches, tingling, stiffness etc. Chiropractors are trained to locate these areas of dysfunction and correct them to promote correct functioning of your spine and other joints.
All patients are different and therefore a variety of techniques are required. These include spinal manipulation, dry needling, massage and mobilisation. Exercises are recommended to enhance your recovery and prevent reoccurrences. Lifestyle factors are also taken into consideration and advice may be given on office ergonomics or car seat positioning.
